Salary: £85,000 to £110,000 (depending on experience)
A respected national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Legal Director (7+ PQE) to join its highly ranked Employment, Pensions and Immigration team. With a strong reputation in health and social care, local government, housing, and emerging markets such as finance and higher education, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a high-performing, collaborative environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Advising healthcare sector clients including NHS organisations, independent healthcare providers, and voluntary sector operators
- Managing complex employment litigation in tribunals and higher courts
- Supporting partner leads and multi-disciplinary teams on transactions and advisory matters
- Providing employment support on TUPE, restructures, redundancy processes, and contractual frameworks
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
- Supervising junior colleagues and supporting their professional growth
- Delivering training and contributing to client relationship management
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 7+ years PQE in employment law, ideally with health and care sector experience
- Strong litigation and/or advocacy skills with capability to manage complex, high-profile cases
- TUPE and transactional experience, including drafting warranties and indemnities
- Experience advising on NHS workforce frameworks desirable but not essential
- Broad employment law expertise across advisory, transactional, and contentious work
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client management skills
- Ability to supervise and mentor junior colleagues
- Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset
