Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a leading Welsh law firm in their search for an experienced Employment Law Associate to join their Employment & Immigration team in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within one of the largest employment and immigration teams in Wales, supporting a broad client base and collaborating with the firm’s Corporate & Private Equity division. 

The Role

This non-contentious role offers a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising clients on day-to-day employment law matters
  • Supporting corporate transactions and restructures with employment law expertise
  • Advising on TUPE and senior exits
  • Collaborating with lawyers across the Employment & Immigration and Corporate teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to team development
  • Participating in business development initiatives
  • Travelling regularly to Cardiff and occasionally to London for client meetings

Candidate Requirements

  • This role is suited to an employment lawyer with:
  • 5+ years PQE in employment law
  • Experience in corporate support and TUPE/senior exits
  • Strong technical and commercial awareness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage time and solve problems effectively
  • Confidence to work independently and collaboratively
  • Interest in mentoring and line management
  • Commitment to client service and relationship building

This role supports hybrid working, with flexibility to work between home and the Cardiff office.
