Associate – Trusts & Estates – Bristol / Exeter – 4+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol or Exeter
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)

A respected law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate with 4+ years’ post qualification experience to join its well established and highly regarded Private Wealth team in either Bristol or Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a high performing, collaborative environment with exposure to high quality, complex work and long standing client relationships.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied and sophisticated caseload of private wealth matters, including:

  • Wills and succession planning
  • Trust creation, administration, and restructuring
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Tax and tax risk planning
  • Advising on heritage, cultural, art, and other unique assets
  • Wealth preservation for high net worth individuals, families, trustees, business owners, farmers, and landowners
  • Liaising with clients, executors, trustees, and professional advisers
  • Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
  • Maintaining high professional standards and compliance


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 4+ years PQE in Trusts & Estates or Private Wealth
  • Strong technical knowledge across wills, trusts, probate, and tax
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence managing complex matters independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • A proactive, motivated, and commercially aware mindset
  • Ability to build strong, long term client relationships
  • Enthusiasm for networking and business development
  • Strong organisational skills and resilience under pressure
