Associate – Trusts & Estates – Bristol / Exeter – 4+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol or Exeter
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)
A respected law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate with 4+ years’ post qualification experience to join its well established and highly regarded Private Wealth team in either Bristol or Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a high performing, collaborative environment with exposure to high quality, complex work and long standing client relationships.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied and sophisticated caseload of private wealth matters, including:
- Wills and succession planning
- Trust creation, administration, and restructuring
- Probate and estate administration
- Tax and tax risk planning
- Advising on heritage, cultural, art, and other unique assets
- Wealth preservation for high net worth individuals, families, trustees, business owners, farmers, and landowners
- Liaising with clients, executors, trustees, and professional advisers
- Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
- Maintaining high professional standards and compliance
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 4+ years PQE in Trusts & Estates or Private Wealth
- Strong technical knowledge across wills, trusts, probate, and tax
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing complex matters independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A proactive, motivated, and commercially aware mindset
- Ability to build strong, long term client relationships
- Enthusiasm for networking and business development
- Strong organisational skills and resilience under pressure
