Associate – Real Estate Finance – 2–5 Years PQE – Cheltenham
Location: Cheltenham (hybrid working available)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £65,000 to £90,000 (dependent on experience)

A well established regional law firm is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate (2–5 PQE) to join its growing Cheltenham team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in real estate finance or exposure gained through a broader commercial property role, looking to develop within a fast paced, high performing environment.

The Role
You’ll work on a broad range of real estate finance matters, advising lenders and borrowers on:

• Loans relating to property sales and acquisitions
• Development finance
• Refinancing of existing debt
• Real estate finance issues arising across commercial property transactions

The team advises a wide variety of lenders, including mainstream banks, challenger banks, bridging loan companies, peer to peer lenders and individual borrowers. You’ll gain exposure to every aspect of a real estate finance deal and work closely with colleagues across the wider Real Estate and Commercial teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advising on the full breadth of real estate finance matters
• Developing and maintaining technical knowledge within real estate finance
• Working collaboratively across the team to share expertise
• Identifying opportunities for cross referrals across the business
• Actively participating in business development initiatives

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a Solicitor with:

• 2–5 years’ PQE
• Experience or exposure to real estate finance (or broader commercial property work with REF elements)
• Strong technical ability and drafting skills
• Confidence managing files with limited supervision
• Excellent client relationship skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Strong commercial awareness
• Proactive, ambitious and organised approach with excellent attention to detail
