Day Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Chadwick Nott is delighted to be working with a respected regional law firm seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their Bridport office on a locum basis starting December 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced litigator to manage a varied caseload with flexibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling a broad range of civil litigation matters including contested probate, property disputes, and boundary issues
  • Providing clear, pragmatic advice to clients across contentious matters
  • Managing files independently from instruction to resolution
  • Liaising effectively with clients, counsel, and third parties
  • Supporting the litigation team and contributing to ongoing casework


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Minimum 5 years’ PQE in civil litigation
  • Proven expertise in contested probate is essential
  • Strong working knowledge of property litigation and boundary disputes
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work with minimal supervision
