Private Client Associate – Torquay – 5+ Years PQE
Location: Torquay
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 (depending on experience)

A respected and progressive regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Associate (5+ PQE) to join its highly regarded team in Torquay. This senior-level role offers autonomy, leadership responsibility and the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of a thriving department.

The Role
You will manage a complex and varied caseload while taking on a leadership role within the team. Responsibilities include:

  • Handling Wills, Estate Administration, Probate, LPAs, Trusts and Inheritance Tax Planning
  • Supervising, mentoring and developing junior colleagues
  • Contributing to process improvement and best practice
  • Leading on business development and strengthening client relationships
  • Playing an active role in the strategic direction of the department


Candidate Requirements

  • 5+ years’ PQE in private client work
  • STEP membership (or working towards it) desirable
  • Strong technical expertise across the full private client spectrum
  • Proven ability to manage complex matters independently
  • Confidence supervising and supporting junior team members
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to generate new business
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to exceptional client care
  • A collaborative, proactive and professional approach
