Associate – Real Estate Construction Litigation – Cardiff – 2+ Years PQE
Location: Cardiff
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000

A respected law firm is seeking a Real Estate Construction Litigation Associate with a minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience to join its growing Cardiff team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied caseload of construction related property disputes within a supportive, ambitious and well established commercial litigation environment. Candidates with general commercial litigation experience and a genuine interest in construction/property disputes are also encouraged to apply.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a broad range of real estate and construction related litigation matters, including:

  • Construction related property disputes
  • Breach of contract and breach of covenant matters
  • Defects, delay and professional negligence claims
  • Landlord and tenant disputes involving construction or repair obligations
  • Dilapidations and service charge disputes
  • Boundary, party wall and rights of way issues
  • Advising clients on strategy, risk and resolution options
  • Liaising with surveyors, experts, contractors and other professionals
  • Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
  • Maintaining high professional standards and compliance


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 2+ years’ PQE (construction litigation or commercial litigation)
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence managing matters independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
  • Interest in developing expertise in real estate construction disputes
  • Ability to build strong client relationships
  • A flexible, commercial and solutions focused approach
