Salary: £95,000 to £130,000 (DOE)

A leading international practice is seeking an Associate (2+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Structured Finance & Derivatives team in Bristol. The team advises investment banks, asset managers, financial institutions, issuers and investors on complex structured products, derivatives and structured finance transactions across a wide range of asset classes. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated, market leading and innovative transactions within a collaborative, high performing environment.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for advising on a broad range of domestic and cross border structured finance matters, including:

  • Structured products and derivatives transactions across multiple asset classes
  • Repackagings, structured credit products and exchange traded products
  • Equity  and fund linked structures and strategic equity transactions
  • Credit risk mitigation arrangements and bespoke financing solutions
  • Managing significant transaction workstreams and day to day client relationships
  • Working closely with colleagues across Financial Markets, Capital Markets and Financial Regulation
  • Supporting clients on structuring, execution and regulatory considerations
  • Contributing to the delivery of complex, innovative and high value matters


Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 2+ years’ PQE in structured finance, structured products or derivatives
  • Experience advising investment banks, asset managers or financial institutions
  • Strong technical skills and transaction management capability
  • Ability to take ownership of matters and build strong client relationships
  • Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Collaborative mindset and interest in mentoring junior team members
  • Enthusiasm for working on complex, innovative and cross border transactions
