A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Commercial Insurance team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a prestigious client base on a varied caseload of complex insurance property-related disputes, including first party property damage (FPPD), third party property damage (TPPD), product liability, policy coverage, and subrogated recoveries.
The Role
- You will manage your own caseload of property-related insurance claims and contribute to large loss matters as part of a wider team. The role requires strong technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a broad range of insurance property disputes independently
- Assist on large loss matters within the team
- Manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice
- Analyse risk and apply sound judgment in decision-making
- Prioritise tasks effectively to maximise efficiency
- Build and maintain internal and external business relationships
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members
About You
We’re looking for a qualified legal professional who:
- Has prior experience managing or assisting with insurance property-related caseloads
- Demonstrates expertise in TPPD, product liability, policy coverage, and subrogated recoveries
- Has a strong interest in commercial insurance law
- Can deliver results within tight deadlines
- Communicates complex issues clearly to stakeholders
- Is self-motivated and capable of coaching others
