An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Food Safety (Technical Manager) to join a well-established manufacturing business.

You’ll take ownership of food safety, quality, and compliance, working closely with senior leadership to maintain high standards across operations and support a strong food safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all food safety, quality, and compliance activities
• Ensure compliance with UK legislation, retailer standards, and customer requirements
• Maintain HACCP, traceability, and quality management systems
• Lead audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections
• Support operations with continuous improvement and best practice
• Provide guidance on supplier approval, risk management, and incident response
• Develop and lead the food safety and quality team

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a senior food safety or technical leadership role
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and retailer standards
• Experience managing audits and regulatory relationships
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
