Hampton’s Resourcing are working closely with a Children’s Care provider, to help with the appointment of a brand-new position – Head of Positive Behaviour Support.

 

The purpose of this role is to build the capacity of staff to ensure a delivery of research-based interventions that result in the reduction of violence and aggression and the use of restraint.

 

You will take responsibility of developing and leading the company-wide violence and restraint reduction strategy, developing and implementing restrictive practice reduction policies and undertaking investigations into untoward events involving restrictive practice within the company.

 

The role will be field based, with travel throughout the UK. This role requires an operationally strong individual who can influence and build relationships both internally and externally, as well as having a strong Children’s Residential background.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant Management Qualification (NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management)
  • It would be beneficial if you had a qualification in Social Work / Therapeutic Practice / Behavioural Management etc
  • Experience Managing Children’s Residential Homes at a Regional Level.
  • Up to date training and knowledge in physical intervention methodology (MAPA, Team Teach)
  • Proven experience achieving Good/Outstanding results across multiple services with OFSTED

 

Salary: circa £60k (dependent on experience) + car allowance + expenses
