Hampton’s are currently working with a large residential provider who require a Registered Manager for a BRAND NEW 2-BED EBD HOME in Cumbria.

This is a company who support some of the most vulnerable children and young people across the UK. Their aim is to nurture and develop, so that children and young people can flourish in their care. They also have excellent learning and development resources to ensure that all staff have access to high quality, up-to-date, training and support.

 

Brief overview of role:

The Registered Manager is responsible for promoting the principles of Therapeutic Parenting as a way of caring for children and young people. Your role will be to promote the development of a high quality, stimulating and creative environment that enhances the lives of the children and young people in our care. You will provide continual supervision and support to your team members whilst promoting learning and development opportunities that enhance our policies and procedures and best practice. You will be actively involved in planning for the future development of employees whilst accurately recording and monitoring all information in relation to recruitment, HR, training and payroll as well as leading the implementation of health and safety practices in the workplace.

As a Registered Manager, you will require excellent communication and relationship building skills in order to work closely with your team, develop positive relationships with families and communities, and liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure the continual welfare and development of our children and young people.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Management experience within a children's residential home
  • Experience with children and young people with EBD
  • Proven track record with Ofsted
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to undertake)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full driving licence

 

Salary: circa £35k (dependent on experience) + bonuses + private healthcare
