Salary: GBP0 - GBP450 per day

Devon County Council and NHS Devon CCG are looking to commission an expert in Autism capacity to lead a system re- design for Autism and Neuro-disability within the Council. This 6-9 month contract will be paid on a daily rate - 4 days per week. Day rates are £450.

The challenge is to set out the system response to ASD and neuro—disability need. The impact of which should be in access to advice, support and services with effective lead professional/ care co— ordination a child needs (pre diagnostic), swift diagnosis required, a clear offer Of support
and intervention (post diagnosis) and ongoing support plan.

The person fulfilling this role hold expertise in one discipline or field (education, health, care) and be highly knowledgeable about at least one other or preferably both of the other fields- -they fully understand and have applied successful organizational system change driven by NICE guidance for ASD. the Code Of Practice for SEND alongside relevant law regarding responsibilities for all agencies to support disabled children.

The role will need to:

Assess the current workforce capacity and training needs at an operational and leadership level and make recommendations as to how best
to meet these needs.

Undertake a system health check leading to change/ design/ pathwav recommendations for each agency (Health, Education and Care) and
design a programme of integrated actions.

Set out recommended system monitoring arrangements and a good looks like model to check against at milestones.

Identify and describe future integration opportunities against tried and tested models that achieve good outcomes for children.

Assess the impact Of current workforce training.

Support the multi-agency response to the waiting list initiative to support CFHD achieve the target of wait time reduction to 18 weeks in 12/ 18

To work with the wider SEND integration project lead regarding linkages to the full service re— design.
