Activities of the Role

- Take responsibility for the administration of electronic pupil files and maintain and update the Children Missing Education (CME) Tracker
- Provide clear advice to schools, officers and colleagues in other local authorities and organisations on all CME issues and off-rolling issues
- Be aware of statutory framework regarding CME
- Represent HCC at Partnership meetings
- Handle applications for school places (advise schools and parents, proactively contact parents having difficulty with applications, maintain central admissions database and other records, prepare and issue formal correspondence, maintain systems for monitoring children missing education)
- Provide administrative support (including data inputting and manipulation) for the annual school transfer and new entrants to reception
- Provide administrative support to admissions officers in admission appeals work
- Respond to queries from parents and schools
General
- To undertake any other responsibilities and duties as appropriate to the
nature and salary grade for the post.
- This post, due to the nature of the work, is exempt from the provisions of
