Execution Engineer

 

Job Purpose:

Provides Execution support to all project teams in project development activities (Cat I to Cat Ill) from Pre-FEED through to handover and close-out ensuring fit-for-purpose application of best practices, technology, and execution strategies for smooth and successful execution of projects across the various phases. Conducts project assurance reviews to ensure projects are planned and executed in accordance with Clients Project Management System (QGPMS) and industry best practices.

Major Challenge

Leads or participates in project assurance reviews ensuring compliance with client’s policies and procedures ensuring all project execution deliverables are completed before the project moves to the next phase. Participates in bid evaluations of FEED and EPC Tender packages providing effective assistance in complex analysis and assignments. As the focal point, coordinates lessons learned and value engineering activities across Major Projects and provides effective assistance through participation in concept selection studies, technical and execution reviews together with other workshops as required.

Reporting

Reports to Head of Execution.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Supports project teams in the development of project execution deliverables.
  • Provides technical support to bid evaluations of tender packages, as required, and ensures bids are compliant with project specifications and if not that the variances are clearly documented Participates in independent studies and prepares technical reports detailing analysis interpretations, recommendations and conclusions on projects to ensure every project is executed effectively. Interacts effectively with Project Management Teams (PMT) and other departments to discuss and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Participates in conceptualization studies, technical workshops and execution related workshops in support of project teams. Participates in project lessons learned workshops and meetings, coordinates feedback and input through the Lessons Learned database for Major Projects, to enable the continuous improvement of project workflows and functional processes ensuring efficient and effective business results. Supports the development and ongoing updates to clients Project Management System (QGPMS) procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 10 years' experience in a project execution environment with broad knowledge of projects, engineering and operations within the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational, coordination and interface skills.
  • Good team working and time management skills
