State Manager – Victoria

Labourpower Recruitment Services is seeking a commercially focused State Manager – Victoria to lead and grow our Victorian operations.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this senior leadership role will take full accountability for the performance, growth, and profitability of the state. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, strengthening client partnerships, and building high-performing recruitment teams across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the strategic growth plan for the Victorian business
  • Drive state revenue, margin, and overall profitability
  • Expand market share through new business development and client acquisition
  • Strengthen and grow key strategic client relationships
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing recruitment team
  • Ensure consistent weekly hours growth and client expansion
  • Oversee workforce planning and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and manage state P&L performance and financial targets
  • Maintain strong compliance, risk management, and operational standards
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to align state performance with national growth objectives

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be actively engaged with clients, your team, and the operational performance of the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in recruitment leadership
  • Proven experience managing P&L and state or regional performance
  • Strong track record of business development and revenue growth
  • Experience growing hours and margin within a high-volume labour hire environment
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and performance-manage teams
  • Highly commercial mindset with strong financial and operational awareness
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Resilient, driven, and results-oriented leadership style
