Due to growth they are seeking a Collections Team Leader who can help the team run their portfolio's, build lasting relationship with their customers and lead from the front in everything collections.

About the Role
Due to a business restructure and growth, a newly created role is available for a strong people manager with Collections experience. We are seeking a Team Leader to oversee 8+ Credit Officers, Reporting to the Finance Manager. You will be an integral part of the business and ready to take on this evolving role.

Duties

  • Managing, mentoring and developing a team of 8+ collections officers and fostering a high-performance culture within the team
  • Oversee the end-to-end collections within a portfolio based environment
  • Manage relationships with all customers and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Work closely with finance, sales, and operations teams to align credit risk strategies with business objectives.
  • Communicate key insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Engage with customers to negotiate payment plans and resolve disputes
  • Working on process improvement and system upgrades 

Skills and Experience

  • 10+ year's experience in collections, with at least 3+ years in leadership of 5+ team members.
  • Experience with Trade Finance and/or PPSR
  • Experience in a high volume, fast moving enviroment 
  • Proven ability to lead a team and drive performance improvements.
  • Experience working with multiple ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
