Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse and recycling operations, including dismantling, sorting, grading and handling materials.
- Plan workloads, allocate tasks and organise cover for holidays and absence.
- Maintain high standards of PPE use, manual handling, housekeeping and material segregation.
- Coach and support team members in safe working practices, tool use, equipment care and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate labelling, stock movement, traceability and disposal records.
- Escalate risks, safety concerns, performance issues or operational blockers promptly.
- Support continuous improvement and help shape departmental processes.
- Lead by example in attendance, conduct, communication, safety behaviour and productivity.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in recycling, e‑waste, warehouse operations, production, logistics or stock control.
- Confident using hand tools, handling equipment and safe manual handling techniques.
- Strong awareness of health & safety, PPE and material segregation.
- Ability to organise people, workflow and priorities while maintaining output and standards.
- Good attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Basic IT capability (email, spreadsheets, scanning/recording tools).
Training & Development
Certifications such as EPOC, CIWM or WAMITAB are beneficial but not essential.
We can provide training including forklift licences, manual handling and other role‑specific qualifications.
Who You Are
- Hands‑on, visible and confident leading from the floor.
- Calm, organised and reliable when priorities shift.
- Fair, consistent and supportive with team members.
- A practical problem solver with pride in safety, standards and output.
