Car Compound Driver

Pay: £12.71-£13.31 per hour (weekly pay)

Hours: 6:00am-3:00pm/8:00am–5:00pm/9:00am–6:00pm

Days: Monday–Sunday – various shifts available

Contract: Temp to Perm

Gi Group is recruiting Car Compound Drivers for a busy automotive logistics site in Avonmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have confident driving skills, and want a long‑term role within the vehicle logistics and automotive industry.

You’ll play a key part in safely moving vehicles around a large compound, supporting a fast‑paced operation and maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities – Car Compound Driver

• Vehicle movement — Safely drive, manoeuvre and relocate vehicles around the compound and between on‑site locations.
• Vehicle checks — Complete basic pre‑ and post‑movement inspections.
• Accurate parking — Park vehicles correctly following site maps, bay numbers and procedures.
• Fast‑paced teamwork — Work efficiently with colleagues to meet daily movement targets.
• Safety compliance — Follow site safety rules and maintain professional standards at all times.

Requirements - Car Compound Driver

• Full UK manual driving licence (Category B) with up to 6 points.
• Confident driving manual, automatic, electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety‑focused approach.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
