FLT Driver / Machine Operative

Location: Fishponds, Bristol

Hours: Rotating shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm), Monday–Friday

Pay: £13.35 per hour

Contract: Full‑time, temp to perm

About the Role

A well‑established adhesive solutions manufacturing company in Fishponds is seeking a reliable and experienced FLT Driver / Machine Operative to join their production team. This role combines forklift operation with hands‑on machine and production duties, offering variety, stability, and long‑term progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move raw materials and finished goods
• Checking all materials and machine settings are correct for each production job
• Feeding materials into machinery and monitoring production processes
• Ensuring high‑quality standards on WIP rolls and finished rolls
• Running rewinder machines during staff breaks, holidays, or sickness cover
• Cleaning machinery and setting up materials for upcoming production runs
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Following all site Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Supporting general warehouse, production, and ad hoc duties as needed

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment
• Ability to work rotating shifts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work
