Production Operative – Specials Department

Location: Almondsbury, Bristol (BS32)

Pay Rate: £13.76 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Reporting to: Specials Manager

Gi Group are recruiting Production Operatives to join the Specials Department within a market‑leading manufacturer of clay building products. This hands‑on, physically active position offers long‑term stability and the opportunity to develop new skills.

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operative, you will be involved in:

• Hand‑crafting bespoke clay blocks to meet customer requirements
• Transferring wet clay onto stillages
• Building accurate brick firing stacks
• Sorting fired bricks into packs ready for dispatch
• Maintaining excellent housekeeping and adhering to all health & safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent timekeeping and reliable attendance
• Self‑motivated with a proactive, positive attitude
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of health & safety standards
• Own transport is essential due to the site location

Desirable Skills (Not Essential)

• Experience in a continuous improvement or manufacturing environment
• Counterbalance FLT licence
• Any relevant training or upskilling qualifications

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
