A leading manufacturing site in Almondsbury (BS32) is recruiting an experienced Production Team Leader for a temp‑to‑perm opportunity. You’ll support daily operations, drive performance, and lead a high‑performing team within a fast‑paced production environment. This role suits someone who enjoys problem solving, coaching teams and ensuring safe, efficient output across multiple production lines.

 

Working Hours & Pay

Training Period (12–16 weeks)

  • Mon–Thu: 7:30am–4:00pm
  • Fri: 7:30am–3:00pm
  • Pay: £14.88 per hour

 

Post‑Training Shift Pattern

  • 5 on / 5 off – 5:00am–5:00pm (Days)
  • 4 on / 4 off – 5:00am–5:00pm (Days)
  • Pay: £17.00 per hour

 

Key Responsibilities of a Production Team Leader

  • Team leadership — Allocate staff and resources to meet production targets.
  • Production reporting — Collect, interpret and accurately report production and downtime data.
  • Machine cover — Provide operational cover when required to maintain maximum output.
  • Quality compliance — Ensure all team members follow manufacturing procedures and meet quality standards.
  • Equipment checks — Confirm equipment calibration and ensure systems are functioning correctly.
  • Safety monitoring — Maintain safety equipment, tools and complete regular H&S checks.
  • Training & development — Train operators and support ongoing development.
  • Attendance management — Monitor timekeeping and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Compliance tasks — Complete IMS data, NKD, check sheets and compliance checks (fire safety, LEV, first aid, etc.).

 

Key Duties Production Team Leader

  • Maintain strong communication between shifts to maximise factory performance.
  • Manage staffing levels and ensure trained personnel are available across all stations.
  • Chair morning team meetings and support daily production meetings when required.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with Engineering and Production teams.
  • Promote teamwork, problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Understand machine operation to a level where you can run equipment during breaks or training.
