You will gain hands-on experience supporting project mobilisation, operations, compliance, and estimating activities within a successful construction business.

As a Business Trainee, you will:

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Answer phone and email enquiries professionally.
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations and Field Teams.
  • Maintain records, documentation, and business systems.
  • Assist with scheduling and general office administration.
  • Support project mobilisation and compliance activities for new projects.
  • Assist with inductions and client onboarding requirements.
  • Support project reporting and close-out documentation.
  • Assist with procurement and coordination of materials and equipment.
  • Gain exposure to estimating processes, plans, specifications, and quotations.

As your skills and knowledge grow throughout the traineeship, you will be given increasing responsibility and exposure to specialised areas of the business. This role has the potential to develop into an Estimator or Project Support position, providing a strong foundation for a long-term career within the construction industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a positive, proactive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in construction, project administration, or estimating.
  • Ability to learn new systems, software, and technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to professional development.
  • Experience reading plans, drawings, or technical documents will be highly regarded.
