Are you a motivated and reliable individual with a passion for customer service and an interest in learning all things data entry, finance, client/customer management, and business operations? MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients, offering a Certificate III Business qualification while becoming a valued member of their team, located in Boronia, VIC!


About the role:

This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience:

  • Deliver high-quality customer service by answering phone calls, responding to emails, assisting residents, and informing customers of booking rules, pricing, and waste collection requirements.
  • Manage bookings and scheduling including taking hard waste collection bookings, scheduling at-call council collections, cancelling orders on request, and entering complaint details into council spreadsheets.
  • Complete administrative and data entry tasks such as entering phone orders into the database, processing payments via BPoint, contacting customers about non-payment or declined cards, and maintaining accurate digital and manual filing.
  • Support office operations by keeping the workspace clean and organised, performing archiving tasks, and ensuring stationery and supplies are restocked.
  • Maintain compliance and reporting by adhering to WHS policies and providing accurate information and reports to management when required.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a positive attitude and strong organisational ability
  • Someone who takes initiative, is eager to learn, and demonstrates high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and the ability to follow instructions
  • Tech-savvy — familiar with MS Word, MS Excel/Google Sheets, MS Access, email platforms, and basic IT skills
  • Interest in, or previous study of, Business, Accounts, Finance, or IT (highly advantageous)
