Kickstart your career with a hands-on Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship through MEGT. This is an exciting opportunity to learn a trade from experienced professionals while gaining a nationally recognised qualification — no previous industry experience required.

Based in Castle Hill, NSW, you’ll work in a modern manufacturing environment while learning practical mechanical skills and building a long-term career.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you’ll learn on the job while being supported by experienced tradespeople.

You’ll get hands-on experience in:

• Working with tools, machinery, and mechanical equipment
• Assisting with the assembly and maintenance of industrial equipment
• Learning how to identify and fix mechanical issues
• Reading drawings and understanding how machines work
• Workshop tasks including fitting, repairs, and basic fabrication
• Working safely as part of a supportive team

No experience? No worries — full training will be provided.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine interest in mechanics, engineering, or hands-on work
• Enjoys working with tools or fixing things
• Is reliable, motivated, and eager to learn
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Wants to build a long-term career in a trade

This role is ideal for recent school leavers, those completing Year 10, 11 or 12, or anyone looking to start a trade career.

Experience from school workshop classes, tinkering with cars/bikes, labouring, sports equipment, farm work, or hands-on hobbies is highly regarded but not essential.
