POSITION SNAPSHOT: Our client is seeking to add a Sales Director to lead growth in our metal powder business, specializing in restorative and repair applications such as laser cladding, HVOF thermal spray, PTA welding, and other advanced surface engineering processes. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of metal powders and their performance in demanding industrial environments with a proven track record in sales development and customer relationship management. This role requires the ability to identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and deliver solutions that meet customer needs in industries such as aerospace, energy, and heavy equipment.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, managing complex sales cycles, and collaborating with technical and R&D teams to align product specifications with customer requirements. The candidate will lead contract negotiations, maintain CRM pipelines, and represent the company at trade shows and industry events. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering (MBA preferred), 5+ years of relevant sales experience, and deep technical expertise in metal powders and coating technologies are required. Strong communication, negotiation skills, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally are essential for success in this role.
