POSITION SNAPSHOT: Our client is seeking a Sales Director to lead growth in their metal powder business, with a strong emphasis on advanced manufacturing applications such as Additive Manufacturing (AM) and powder-based processes like sintering. This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales leadership, requiring a deep understanding of metal powders, alloy systems, and their performance in demanding industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, customer relationship management, and driving revenue growth within sectors such as aerospace, energy, and defense.
In this position, you will develop and execute sales strategies to expand our presence in AM and sintering markets, identify and engage OEMs, filter manufacturers, and service bureaus, and collaborate closely with technical and R&D teams to ensure powder specifications meet customer requirements. You will manage complex sales cycles from introduction to contract close, lead pricing and negotiation discussions, and represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits to strengthen brand visibility and market intelligence. Success in this role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, a strong technical foundation in powder processes and coating technologies, and the ability to stay ahead of industry trends such as laser powder bed fusion, e-beam powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition, binder jetting, and cold spray.
