This is a genuinely unique opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper who enjoys hands-on client work, while also leading and developing a small team of bookkeepers.

• $140K - $150K Package

The Opportunity:

• In this role, you will manage your own portfolio of clients while leading a small team of bookkeepers to ensure high-quality, compliant and timely service delivery.
• You will be a key part of the businesses senior leadership group and play an important role in workflow management, quality control and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of small to medium businesses
• Deliver end-to-end bookkeeping services including reconciliations, BAS preparation and payroll
• Act as the main point of contact for key clients and build strong ongoing relationships – you will be the face of the Bookkeeping Division
• Lead, coach and support a small team of bookkeepers
• Review work, manage workflows and ensure deadlines are met
• Assist with process improvements and best-practice standards across the business
• Support the business owner with team performance

You will bring:

• Several years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping role (practice or outsourced environment preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential!
• Experience preparing BAS, payroll and superannuation
• A natural ability to build rapport with clients and act as a trusted advisor
• Previous experience mentoring or leading junior bookkeepers (formal or informal)
• Excellent organisation, communication and time-management skills
• Must be a registered BAS Agent.
