Financial Controller – Part-time

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a flexible, part-time role? A dynamic business based in Cremorne is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a high-energy, high-performing team environment with a great culture - 2 to 2.5 days per week.

This can be a fractional role or they can be very flexible with working arrangements—whatever suits you.

In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership team and Business Owners, providing financial insights, managing reporting, and helping shape the business's financial strategy. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both hands-on day to day finance work and strategic collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and oversee financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts
• Manage cash flow and ensure financial compliance
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements (BAS, IAS, income tax, FBT).
• Scenario modelling to support decision-making.
• Work closely with business owners on financial decision-making
• Overseeing all accounting processes

Key Requirements:

• You will be CPA/CA qualified or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a growing SME environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial management, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Strong analytical skills and a very high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with leadership
• Flexible availability for 2–2.5 days per week
• Enthusiasm for being part of a supportive, high-energy team with a very positive culture
