Capital Markets Business Analyst

Signature Consultants is seeking a Capital Markets Business Analyst for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. This BA will work on the Investment Portfolio (IP) Platform project is to improve Data Management, Analytics and Reporting across IP including the following organizations: Credit Investment Portfolio (CIP), Macro Investment Portfolio (MIP), Portfolio Strategy and Analytics (PSA), Traded Products and Infrastructure. The initiative is expected to deliver significant efficiencies across IP user community, increase the availability of high quality data for reporting and analytics needs while reducing the data processing burden on IP users. The platform will provide all users an integrated approach to both dynamic reporting & analytics development and a well-controlled production environment for executing routine responsibilities. In addition, the IP Platform will support effective G&O Compliance for applicable Regulatory and Risk Reports.

Requirements:

• Highly analytical – must have professional background or degree in a profession to support this needed skill
• Senior executive presentation skills (nice to have)
• Agile methodology (actively write stories and updates to JIRA)
• Other analysis to help define strategy and future scope
• Ability to ‘command’ a meeting- own it and help facilitate
• With the right person – will have senior leader exposure

Common Data Repository (CDR)

• Satisfy data requirements across: PSA, CIP, MIP, Traded Products, Infrastructure
• Design and implement standard data management routines
• Design and implement standard intake process
• Design and implement standard issue management process
• Review applicable internal policies & regulations to ensure appropriate compliance is included in design and built
• Establish common documentation and training to support the environment and users

Common Reporting Platform (CRP)

• Satisfy user reporting and dashboard requirements, across: PSA, CIP, MIP, Traded Products, Infrastructure
• Implement software readily available at the company for reporting and dashboard capabilities
• Design CRP reporting processes leveraging selected tool(s) and:
• Ensure G&O compliance where applicable
• Ensure reporting meets required IP formatting
• Ensure data used in multiple processes reconciles
• Implement phase rollout of the Common Reporting Platform inclusive of:
• Standard BI tool Reporting
• Custom Reports (.pdf/.ppt)
• Dashboards (dynamic custom dashboards)

Common Analytics Platform (CAP)

• Satisfy analytical requirements required for a given process across: PSA, CIP, MIP, Traded Products, Infrastructure.
• Requirements include: Input sources, input values, detailed calculations, variables, outputs, exceptions and scenario building capabilities and historical requirements.
• Delivery of the following:Conversion /implementation of the existing Other Comprehensive Income (OCI) model into CAP.
• Support / development of:IP specific qualitative and quantitative models (integration with Model COE/external partners.
• Calculations/functions to support analytic processes
• Reduce the number of models and EUCT with IP strategic/external models
• Thin client UI for the following:Basic API function inputs
• Ability to save pre-programmed scenarios
• Ability to change assumptions & rerun analytical modules & save multiple sets of output, tied to the assumptions used
• Business and technology will ensure shared services are leveraged (Mortgage COE, Traded Products COE, etc.) for analytics & technology where appropriate.
• Additionally, where applicable the models will follow model validation requirements.
