Substitute Certification Coordinator

Overview: The Credentialing Specialists supports substitute teachers and Oregon school districts by overseeing the full licensure process, including district coordination, applicant guidance through TSPC requirements, credential verification, and management of all sponsorship documentation and records.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Oregon school districts to identify and address substitute teacher staffing needs.
- Coordinate substitute vetting and sponsorship processes through frequent direct support.
- Guide applicants through the TSPC licensing process, ensuring state requirements are met.
- Audit candidates pertaining to state and federal credentialing and clearances.
- Verifying educational credentials and background check clearances for compliance with TSPC.
- Manage district communications to finalize the completion of all sponsorship document requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of licensure status and renewal deadlines.
- Manage support tickets and applicant inquiries using Zendesk to ensure timely resolution.
QUALIFICIATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) (preferred but not required).
- Strong administrative skills with experience in high-volume document processing.
- Excellent communication abilities for navigating state and district systems with ease.
- Communicates well across different agencies, handling multi-level coordination smoothly.
- Working knowledge of data management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
