SENIOR COMPLETIONS ENGINEER
CONTEXT:
Provide well completions design, installation and well operations procedures safely and in accordance with the asset plan, ensuring that the asset value is optimised by developing and promoting techniques and strategies that enhance life of well performance
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
Planning and prioritising of all well completions workover and well-service activities.
Conduct well planning in accordance with the WDP, WIWDP and PMP processes ensuring compliance.
Select by tender and monitor the performance of service contractors.
Ensure that equipment is ordered to meet rig schedule.
Prepare Well Notifications and programmes in accordance with Well Notification and Well Examination Scheme requirements.
Effective liaison and communication with the subsurface and drilling management teams.
Implementation of lessons learned system and championing of all performance improvement initiatives applicable to well completions performance.
Formulation of well operations services performance criteria.
Maintenance and up-dating of completions, workover and well-services documentation and data.
Supervise the deployment of Completions Supervisors both offshore and onshore.
Supervise the contracts for completion equipment and service contractors.
Implementation of additional processes/procedures applicable to completion operation improvement.
Mentor junior engineering staff within the department.
Departments Technical Authority for Well Integrity issues.
Where appropriate, position to provide input to major accident hazard management, in particular the prevention, detection, control, mitigation and response to major accidents.
Compliance of completion designs and programmes with all applicable legislation and company policies, standards and procedures.
Ensure that completions operations meet agreed budget and objectives.
Accurate and timely reporting of all completions activities
Implementation of Client management systems and continuous improvement processes.
Facilitate effective interfaces between all services provided to the well completions functions.
Liaise with drilling function to ensure effective interfacing.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
The job holder should be educated to degree level or similar to HNC or equivalent to, via qualified industry training and/or demonstrate significant ability through experience and proven achievements in drilling, completion and work-over operations with significant experience in oil industry drilling.
Well Control as per Standard – Well Control Training – MOG-WLS-DRL-STD-0002.
The job holder must be a drilling and wells professional who has gained the requisite expertise through extensive continuous training, and wide operational experience on offshore drilling rigs, logistics, simultaneous operations, coupled with a significant knowledge / experience of drilling related equipment, cost control and follow-up, environmental safety, risk assessment, equipment certification and a strong knowledge of the Group policies and relevant (FP) Company Rules.
