Warehouse Operative

Location: Carlisle (rural)- Own transport is essential due to the location

Pay: £14 per hour

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Length: 4–5 weeks (potential for extension depending on workload)

Shift: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

About the Role

We’re looking for reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operatives to support our client during a busy period while they reorganise and streamline their warehouse operations. We need someone who’s not afraid to get stuck in, help restore order, and keep things moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Sorting stock and placing items in their correct locations
• Assisting with reorganising a currently dysfunctional warehouse layout
• Helping improve stock flow and general warehouse organisation
• Following health & safety procedures at all times
• Working as part of a small, supportive team

What We’re Looking For

• Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience preferred
• Someone proactive, organised, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes messy environment
• Good attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to lift/move stock when required
• Positive attitude and willingness to help with whatever is required
