Hamilton Woods is partnered with a growing international business that is looking for continuous improvement in its ERP systems as they acquire new businesses each year. This hybrid role is for an independent forward-thinking self-starter that has extensive knowledge of system implementations and improvements whilst more capable of producing a set of statutory accounts. In return, you will be working with an amazing team of accountants in one of the UK’s top businesses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as part of the Financial Reporting team to play a key role in the preparation of the quarterly, interim, and year-end consolidated financial statements in accordance with agreed deadlines, including the provision of value-added commentaries and supporting schedules as required.
  • Assist in month-end reporting, including close out of ledgers, analysis of information, and submission of results through FCCS.
  • Preparation of notes to the annual financial statements under IFRS
  • Contribute to initiatives to continuously improve the quality and timeliness of the consolidated financial information.
  • Primary ownership of the Oracle FCCS consolidation system (following 2023 implementation) with primary responsibility for coordination of maintenance, upgrades, and changes to reflect new accounting requirements.
  • Document design, mapping, and rules of the new FCCS system and prepare/maintain a user manual.
  • Supports the month-end financial consolidations process
  • Leads and supports the monthly master data refresh process
  • Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements (SOX) and maintain controls documentation.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Finance and Controllers and Accountants around the globe to identify, qualify/quantify, and prioritize solutions to address business needs and improve business effectiveness
  • Provide system training to new starters and communicate changes and updates to the wider financial reporting team.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified Financial Reporting Accountant/Manager
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy and skills in problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills must be comfortable and professional in dealing with Senior Management.
  • Good technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is required.
  • FCCS/HFM knowledge preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills are required.
  • Extensive experience in a finance role.
  • Industry experience required.
  • ERP experience is essential, with knowledge of SAP, FCCS, Hyperion, or other group reporting solutions being preferred.
