An opportunity for a Client Side Project Manager to work on a range of projects in North QLD. Candidates can be based out of Townsville, Mackay or Whitsunday region. 

The Company


Our client is a Project Management and Advisory consultancy with offices across QLD, Sydney and Melbourne. They operate across various sectors in QLD with a particular focus on Building & Property and Healthcare due to a strong market presence and a track record of successfully delivered projects resulting in a significant pipeline of work. Due to ongoing projects and a peak in workload, they are looking to add a Client Side Project Manager to their North Queensland team to assist in the front end and delivery of a number of projects working with local councils.
Please note this role is a permanent position and is based in North QLD. Applicants would need to be based in Townsville, Mackay or Whitsunday region.


About You


Candidates would need to be Client Side Project Managers either having worked as a Project Manager for an asset owner, consultancy or Government department. You will have demonstrated experience delivering projects from start to finish and the ability to run projects autonomously. You will have tertiary education (Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity surveying or similar) or relevant membership (AIPM). It is expected you will have a proven track record of project management and building long-lasting internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels of seniority.


The Role


Reporting to the Regional Lead, you will be working as a Senior Project Manager on a variety of projects from inception to handover. It will be your responsibility to;

  • liaise consultants, sub-contractors and the site team keeping all stakeholders up to date with the progress on-site on various projects
  • ensure your clients are kept up to date and have their expectations managed accordingly in relation to construction and project delivery matters within your portfolio
  • identify and proactively manage risks and develop strategies to mitigate
  • ensure that documentation and general project governance is adhered to providing updates to various stakeholders
  • provide your manager with updates on project status, risk, on-site project, WH&S incidents and project timelines
  • partake in business development activities as required to help facilitate the market presence in North QLD
  • be willing and able to travel (in moderation) for various projects and site visits.
