The Company
Our client is an industry leading healthcare provider who have a National network of 70+ medical centres and over 1300 independent health practitioners. They have a large portfolio across Australia and the incumbent moving overseas, they are looking for a National Subleasing Executive to assist with their Head leases and subleases across the country.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Property, you will be responsible for the renewal of subleases across their medical and dental portfolio alongside the leasing of vacant space by proactively finding tenants. The portfolio is national however most of the work can be done remotely, the travel component is expected to be around 6 trips per year. You will be dealing with both internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis including, but not limited to; property and facilities team, practice managers, finance & legal team, leasing admin team, real estate agents, property managers, contractors and landlords.
Some key responsibilities are;
- Liaise with Regional Managers to identify vacant space to lease and generate vacant space reports
- Operate in a manner which ensure safe working practices with obligations and compliances are adhered to
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, market trends with a view to growing the portfolio
- Act in a commercial manner to grow the clients' portfolio and returns
- Be well organised by means of leasing minutes, vacancy reports, sub-lease expiries, new market opportunities, critical dates and opportunities for growth

About You
Successful candidates would need to be experienced Leasing professionals ideally in the medical / healthcare sector however my client is open to candidates with a proven track record in commercial and/or retail who is passionate about the medical and healthcare leasing sector. Relevant tertiary education in property or real estate is preferred alongside demonstrated experience in;
- Lease negotiation
- Track record of growing a portfolio and proactively developing business relationships in the head or sub-lease market
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement skills
- Previous experience working in a Leasing or Broader Property Team
- Experience in analysing and interpreting lease agreements and financial statements
Please note, previous experience in a National Role is not essential. This role provides a great opportunity for a Leasing Professional to set up into a National Role, look after an exciting portfolio and drive growth.
