Admin Officer
Royal Courts of Justice, London £15.59 per hour | Full-Time | 6-Month Assignment
We are currently recruiting for an Admin Officer to join the Ministry of Justice at the prestigious Royal Courts of Justice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Assignment Details
- Location: Royal Courts of Justice, London, WC2A 2LL
- Pay Rate: £15.59 per hour
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Working Pattern: 100% office-based, 5 days per week
- Start Date: 24 August 2026
- Assignment Length: 6 months
- Potential Extension: To be confirmed
- Clearance Required: Basic DBS (to be provided by Brook Street for successful applicants)
The Role
The ACO I&E team operates within a busy customer-facing environment, managing a high volume of applications, customer correspondence and enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing a high volume of customer applications accurately and within required timeframes.
- Managing and responding to customer correspondence, including emails, letters and enquiries.
- Providing support and guidance to customers over the telephone.
- Delivering face-to-face customer service at the public counter.
- Maintaining accurate records across relevant systems and databases.
- Prioritising workloads effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the ACO I&E team.
- Contributing towards team performance targets and service delivery standards.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to manage operational demands.
- Ensuring a high level of attention to detail in all administrative tasks.
About You
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous administration experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confidence dealing with customers both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Proficiency using IT systems and databases.
