Solution Designer channel payments

Key Accountabilities
• Accountable for delivering effective solution designs within the Bank’s ISO20022 Payments Program, specifically building out a set of Channel Payment Services
• Designing end-to-end payment solutions to meet business needs within the context of a broader solution implementation
• Contributing to overall solution planning, working with other architects as well as highlighting technical risks, issues and assumptions
• Producing required design artefacts
• Working with the business and factories to help refine requirements
• Presenting to the Bank’s Architecture Review Board when necessary
• Engaging with key stakeholders in Payments and across the business
• Ensure solutions align with strategic architecture principles and direction
• Reviewing requirements and monitor change requests to ensure the solution design is fit for purpose

Skills and Experience
• Experienced Solution Architect in designing solutions for Payments Projects and Programs, working in complex multi-vendor change delivery organisations
• RESTful Web Service design and best practices
• Experience with MuleSoft or Microservices in general is highly desirable
• Experience in modern engineering practices and technologies
• Experience with Data Modelling (Logical and Physical), strategies for Service Decomposition and Service Design
• Strong working knowledge of integration architecture principles
• Continuous improvement and innovative mind-set
• Financial Services experience, and specifically Payments domain experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
• Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding timelines
• AWS experience, or AWS Solutions Architect certifications a plus
• TOGAF, Zachman, SABSA or other general architecture certifications a plus
• Experience and working knowledge across technology domains – application, data, infrastructure, security, networking etc.
