WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER

We are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to a join one of the UK’s leading cake manufacturers based in Hull. This is a 6 month interim contract which could lead to a permanent placement, offering a payrate of £14.72 per hour.

 

YOU MUST HAVE A VALID COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT LICENSE!

 

Shift pattern / Working hours

5 days in 7 rotation of days and evenings;

 

Week 1

Sun - OFF

Mon to Thu 10am-6pm (4 x Days)

Fri – OFF

Sat 10am-6pm (1 x Day)

 

Week 2

Sun 10am-6pm (1 x Day)

Mon - OFF

Tue to Fri 3pm-11pm (4 x Days)

Sat - OFF

The Warehouse Team Leader role a 6 month interim contract which could lead to a permanent placement. The role will commence with immediate effect however, if you have a notice period with your current employer we will work around that.

 

Job description

As a Warehouse Team Leader you will be responsible for delivering the daily production plan in the most cost effective way in line with all customer and brand specifications. Your duties will include;

  • Managing risk to create a safe working environment in the warehouse
  • Ensuring Goods Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance
  • Ensuring quality is delivered meeting customer standards and expectations
  • Delivering the production schedule and being accountable for its fulfilment
  • Supervise direct labour, utility consumption, component usage and manufacturing consumables
  • Measure and explain any variances and deliver plans of actions to improve performance
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in the delivery of continuous improvement projects
  • Requesting agency staff for the department and managing overtime ensuring the correct manning is in place for each shift
  • Keeping on top of general warehouse maintenance and reporting any issues for repair
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and reports on day to day activity and staffing

 

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Warehouse Team Lader you must;

  • Have a valid Counterbalance license
  • Have 5 years Warehouse experience ideally gained within an FMCG environment
  • Have managed a team of 5 or more people
  • Have knowledge of production planning processes and retailer standards including how to control quality
  • Have experience in performance and people management with the ability to develop and improve performance
  • Have knowledge of budgeting and cost control

 

It would be advantageous (although not essential) if you;

  • Have a reach truck forklift license
  • Have stand & ride experience
  • Have IOSH or NEBOSH certificates
