Stores Operative

We are recruiting an experienced Stores Operative to a join a high-quality steel door manufacturer on the outskirts of East Hull (HU12). This is a Permanent Vacancy offering a starting salary of £27,000.  

Shift pattern / Working hours

Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm 

Friday 8am – 3:30pm

The Stores Operative role is a Permanent position that will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.

Job description

As a Stores Operative you will be working alongside the existing stores person carrying out the following duties;

·       Sourcing and ordering door hardware, furniture and consumables as required.

·       Organising delivery and documentation for imported containers shipments.

·       Unloading containers and unpackaging stock/doors ready for manufacture.

·       Carrying out stocktakes.

·       Liaising with suppliers.

·       Carrying out cost analysis to ensure that prices paid are competitive.

·       Pick and pack of spares orders for courier collection.

·       Processing delivery notes and sales paperwork for invoicing/payment.

·       Organising the warehouse and maintaining good housekeeping

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Stores Operative you must;

·       Have a full UK driving license

·       Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift license

·       Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications

·       Have previous experience working within a stores / warehousing capacity
