This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with growth plans in place. My client are looking to take on a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias and the role would be well suited to a Maintenance Engineer with experience working in a manufacturing environment. This is days based role and can afford you the opportunity to stop working night shifts. Working across a broad range of manufacturing sectors, this is a great chance to join a rapidly expanding and secure business who are breaking into new markets.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Problem solving, fault finding and general repair of all machines, processes and services.
  • Provide plant preventative maintenance to a set program and develop this program to establish appropriate stock levels of spares & re-order policies.
  • Assist in developing & delivering capital improvement projects including automation within Assembly and Moulding areas.
  • Provide maintenance support for general facilities. To take full part in and provide support for any other Engineering Team projects and activities.
  • Develop integration of downstream ancillary operations such as drilling, stamping, inserts into an automated process.
  • Assist in set up of new processes and equipment, their optimisation, the reporting of their effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Be qualified in an electrical maintenance engineering discipline – apprenticeship trained.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Participate in and actively promote the company’s CIP (continuous improvement program) looking for ways to continually improve the way we work and to reduce waste.
  • Good Housekeeping (5S) – Ensure all areas are clean and tidy.
