This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking business in a Business Co-Ordinator role. This business have a strong product range and have been and established employer in the local area.  As a business they place a large emphasis on continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing, so the role would be well suited to a candidate with a similar mindset. The business provide superb training with a defined plan in place for each position they hire, and would be well suited to a candidate with experience in an planning, customer facing and coordination background. This role is to cover a maternity, so it is a fixed term position with potential for it to go permanent.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Efficient processing of quotations and orders for the department.
  • Efficient processing of material requisitions and supplier purchase orders to ensure the team have the materials they require when they need them
  • Liaise with customers on enquiries, putting together proposals for sales opportunities
  • Follow order through system to shipment
  • Customer Service – liaise with customers and internal logistics on orders and shipments to maintain highest levels of service. Follow through on any complaints to the Quality team and keep customers updated.
  • Liaising with new and existing suppliers for raw materials and buy/sell items.
  • Work with the IT team and Operational Excellence Team to review processes and automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes to be as simple and robust as possible

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in administration / office management
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to multi task
  • Effective people skills with the ability to work closely with all personnel at all levels.
