Maintenance Technician (Two Shift)

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly successful and well-established medical device manufacturer that are experiencing excellent growth and continued investment. Working from their state of the art, automated manufacturing facility in Cardiff you will be responsible for ensuring minimal downtime across the factory and enable the company to achieve its quality and efficiency goals. You will be working within a highly regulated, clean room environment.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Provide breakdown support and planned & preventative maintenance duties
• Implement changes, modifications and upgrades to equipment and tooling to improve efficiencies, processes and cycle times
• Work on a wide variety of equipment including injection moulding machinery, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLC controlled equipment
Knowledge, Skills and experience
• Electrical bias – apprentice trained
• Experienced within manufacturing, ideally high volume/FMCG would be preferred
• Excellent fault finding and problem-solving ability both electrical and mechanical
• Experience working on PLC controlled equipment and automated machinery
