This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, innovation-led food manufacturing business as it expands its UK production capability through a strategic manufacturing partnership. Working at the heart of operations, you'll play a key role in ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and consistently while supporting quality standards, continuous improvement and new product introductions.

In this role, you'll combine hands-on production expertise with strong quality leadership, working closely with Operations, Technical, Supply Chain and R&D teams to solve problems, support scale-up activities and drive operational excellence. You'll be central to maintaining product quality, improving processes and building effective ways of working across a growing manufacturing environment.

If you're passionate about food production, process improvement and delivering high standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact and help shape the future success of an expanding operation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the site team to support daily production priorities, problem-solving and delivery.
  • Complete or oversee product-specific QC checks, including pH, Brix, viscosity, colour, taste, packaging and batch coding where relevant.
  • Review production and QC records, retained samples and batch documentation, escalating risks or deviations early.
  • Support investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective action for non-conformances, complaints, rework and recurring issues.
  • Contribute to production planning, launches and product changes, and improve SOPs, QC records, handover documents and ways of working as the operation grows.
  • Plan and support trials, pre-production runs and first productions with R&D, Technical, Operations, Supply Chain and the site team.

Requirements

  • Experience working within the food and beverage sector.
  • Strong practical understanding of production processes, quality control and food-safety expectations.
  • Hands-on production experience and the confidence to understand and challenge recipes, batch records, specifications and processes.
  • Experience completing or reviewing QC checks such as pH, Brix, viscosity, taste and colour.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to influence through expertise and relationships.
