Our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead a small team, and ensure that projects are running smoothly by providing technical advice. This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills and experience within construction or modular build related sectors.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Lead, Lead and mentor a team of 2 Design Engineers, managing workload and project delivery
• Act as the key link between Design, Manufacturing, Projects, Procurement and Installation
• Lead client design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
• Ensure designs are accurate, compliant and optimised for manufacture before release.
• Oversee BIM, Revit, QA, document control and design standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across processes, performance and the wider design function
  

About You

• Strong design experience within manufacturing, construction or related engineering environments
• Strong design experience with a focus on Design for Manufacture (DfM)
• Experience delivering engineered products from concept through to manufacture
• Strong technical design background within a fast-paced engineering environment
