Role Overview

  • Install, commission, service and maintain a range of specialist production equipment
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults
  • Carry out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs at customer sites
  • Complete service reports and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
  • Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Previous field service experience working on automated or packaging-related machinery
  • Apprentice-trained engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong communication skills and professional customer-facing approach
  • Positive work ethic with a willingness to travel and stay away when required

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with filling, capping, conveying, bagging or cartoning equipment
  • Mechanical, pneumatic or automation experience
  • Experience commissioning new machinery
  • Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
  • Relevant engineering qualifications

Work Location

  • Home-based field service position
  • Ideally located in the midlands region
  • UK-wide customer coverage with occasional visits to company facilities
  • Mix of installations, servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown support
  • Regular travel and overnight stays required as part of the role
