Role Overview

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of laboratory equipment at customer sites
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
  • Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately using digital systems
  • Provide operator training and technical guidance to customers where required
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a field service, installation or maintenance engineering role
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical approach
  • Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering background
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as part of the role

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with laboratory or scientific equipment
  • Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition
  • Commissioning, validation or calibration experience
  • IOSH, CSCS or similar industry-recognised certifications
  • Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments

Work Location

  • Home-based field service position
  • Ideally located around Sheffield, Nottingham or the wider A1/M1 corridor
  • Covering Northern England with occasional travel into Scotland
  • Mixture of planned maintenance, installation and commissioning activities
  • Regular travel as part of day-to-day responsibilities
