Salary: £180 - £200 per day, depending on experience

We’re recruiting a Bricklayer for a construction contractor working on a residential development in Bromley. This is a 5-month contract with the possibility of extension.

About the role

As a Bricklayer, you’ll lay brick and blockwork from plans and drawings, set out walls and structures, and repair damaged brickwork. You’ll work as part of the site team, reporting to the Site Supervisor, delivering high quality work safely and with minimal waste.

Key responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials in line with plans, specifications and drawings
• Set out walls and structures from plans and drawings
• Carry out repairs to damaged brickwork
• Protect completed work and materials on site
• Use materials carefully and keep waste to a minimum
• Follow all site health and safety rules to keep yourself and the team safe
• Work with other trades as part of a team, following instructions from the Site Supervisor

Qualifications and experience

• Proven experience in bricklaying and masonry (essential)
• CSCS card (minimum Blue card for Bricklaying)
• Own tools
• Reliable, a good timekeeper and able to follow instructions
• Good communication skills and a flexible, team-focused approach
• Takes pride in the quality of their work and their appearance
