About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Civil Engineering Apprentice to develop the practical skills and technical knowledge required to build a career in civil engineering and infrastructure.
You will gain hands-on experience supporting civil engineering projects while completing a Level 3 Civil Engineering apprenticeship. The role combines workplace learning with college-based training and will give you exposure to different aspects of civil engineering, construction and infrastructure.
The role involves a combination of office-based work and visits to construction sites. You may be required to travel between different locations, walk around active construction sites and work outdoors.
Important: This apprenticeship is only open to residents of the London Borough of Camden.
Main Duties
As your skills and experience develop, you will:

Support civil engineering projects by creating and modifying engineering drawings, documents and specifications.

Assist with developing engineering solutions by collecting and analysing technical data.

Learn to use digital engineering tools such as CAD, BIM and Revit.

Assist with calculations, data analysis and technical documentation.

Follow relevant engineering standards, specifications and procedures.

Prioritise health and safety and identify potential risks.

Support compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and environmental requirements.

Assist with monitoring project quality, budgets and delivery targets.

Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Communicate effectively with project teams, customers, contractors and other stakeholders.

Work independently when appropriate while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Attend construction sites, training days and college sessions.

Continue developing technical knowledge and professional skills throughout the apprenticeship.

Work in accordance with relevant professional and industry standards.
