About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Pipe Welder Apprentice to join a team working on district heating infrastructure across London.
This is an opportunity for someone interested in developing a career in welding and pipework. You will receive on-site training to British welding standards while gaining practical experience working alongside experienced welders.
The role will involve welding district heating pipes in trenches and developing the technical skills required to work safely and to a high standard within the industry.
Main Duties

Assist with arc welding on district heating pipes, including pipes approximately 150mm to 300mm in diameter.

Assist with gas welding on district heating pipes, including pipes approximately 50mm to 100mm in diameter.

Develop practical welding skills through supervised onsite training.

Learn to work to relevant British welding specifications and quality standards.

Read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.

Prepare materials and equipment for welding activities.

Inspect work and ensure welds meet required quality standards.

Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area safe and organised.

Follow all site health and safety procedures and instructions.

Work effectively alongside experienced welders and other site personnel.
